A Brief Report of STC on 'MATLAB, A Tool in Research' 24/12/2015 To 28/12/2015

The Department of Mathematics, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur successfully organized a short term course on 'MATLAB- A Tool in Research' during the period December 24 to 28, 2015. In this course, intensive training was conducted to explore the applications of MATLAB in research, with the aid of lectures, tutorials and laboratory experiences.
The inauguration ceremony on 24th December was attended by all participants, resources persons, Department Faculty and expert Prof. Balswaroop Bhatt, Professor of Mathematics, The University of The West Indies, West Indies. Prof. Bhatt highlighted the need of such courses in the career development of researchers and teachers. He also introduced the MATLAB software and basic programming to the participants.

The distinguished faculties from The University of The West Indies, IIT Roorkee, IIM Udaipur, NIT Jaipur and other institutes delivered lectures/ conducted lab. exercises on different uses of MATLAB in various field of research. The valedictory function and ceremony for award of certificates was chaired by Prof. I. K. Bhat, Director, MNIT Jaipur. Prof. R. C. Mittal, IIT Roorkee, was the Chief Guest for this occasion. Participants also gave their critical and encouraging feedback.
